Hope and Healing: Changing Lives for a Violence-Free Future

Our
Story

Welcome to The Arthur Lee Duncantell II Foundation (The Duncantell Foundation)

Welcome to The Arthur Lee Duncantell II Foundation

For over a decade, we have been dedicated to a single, transformative goal: replacing cycles of violence and trauma with cycles of healing and safety.

We take a holistic, trauma-informed approach to this work. Through proactive prevention, compassionate intervention, and sustained support, we empower individuals and families to heal and thrive. Our evidence-based programs are designed to foster resilience, cultivate healthy relationships, and build stronger, safer communities where peace becomes the norm.

Our vision is a world where the cycle of violence and trauma is replaced by a cycle of healing and safety. We build communities where individuals and families not only recover but thrive.

MISSION

The Arthur Lee Duncantell II Foundation builds pathways to healing and safety for those navigating the aftermath of violence. Through trauma-informed care, advocacy, and community-based support, we foster resilience, prevent future harm, and empower individuals and families to reclaim their lives.

How We Make Healing Possible

Our comprehensive model addresses the full spectrum of needs for those impacted by trauma, ensuring healing is not just a concept, but a tangible reality.

  • Trauma-Informed Mental Health & Counseling: We provide individual and group therapy, crisis counseling, and specialized behavioral health support to address the deep emotional and psychological wounds of trauma, fostering resilience and post-traumatic growth.

  • Holistic Survivor Advocacy & Wraparound Support: Our advocates offer compassionate, survivor-centered guidance through complex systems. We connect individuals with essential resources, including safety planning, housing assistance, legal aid, and navigating victim compensation programs.

  • Community-Based Prevention & Education: We work to stop violence before it starts by promoting healthy relationships and conflict resolution skills in our communities. Our training and outreach initiatives aim to shift social norms and build a culture of mutual respect and safety.

  •

  • Healing-Centered Programs & Fellowship: We believe healing happens in connection. Through support groups, community-building events, and healing circles, we create brave spaces for survivors to find fellowship, share their experiences, and rebuild a sense of belonging.

  •

  • Systems Change & Collaborative Partnerships: We drive long-term transformation by working to reform the systems that survivors must navigate. We partner with legal, healthcare, and social service organizations to embed trauma-informed practices and create a more responsive, equitable network of care.

Join us in this critical mission. Together, we can advance healing, foster accountability, and create lasting change.
